General information

TEEN ZONE operates after the regular clinic closes, so only TEEN ZONE clients are there.  You don't need an appointment, but it's good to arrive as close to 2pm as possible.

Visits can be long because we try to take care of everything (education, testing, and treatment) in one visit.  Expect 2 hours or more for your first visit.
And remember, you can ask us anything!

The visit

On your first visit to TEEN ZONE you'll be asked to fill out some paperwork about your health.  Once your paperwork is done you'll be given a number.  When your number is called you will got to TRIAGE, where you'll be asked about your health, why you came to TEEN ZONE, and what services you need.

New clients then see the DISEASE INTERVENTION SPECIALIST (DIS) who will go over your STD risks and talk to you about STD testing.  Next, you'll go to the LAB for pregnancy and STD testing.

If you need birth control you'll go to the NURSE who will talk to you about ways to prevent pregnancy including abstinence.  If you want to start on the pill or the Depo shot after learning about how they work a DOCTOR or NURSE PRACTITIONER will help you decide what is best for you.  If you need treatment for an STD, the provider will go over that with you.  The NURSE will give you the medicine.

After seeing the medical people, you have the opportunity to talk to a CASE MANAGER who can answer any questions you might still have.
